A heart shaped 'lake' within a lake. (You've got to see it to understand this caption!)  

Spotted Lake on the road between Osoyoos and Keremeos is a really neat alkalai lake, a sacred spot for the Osoyoos First Nations people 

Another small vineyard is located on the bench lands overlooking Osoyoos, B.C.  

Covert Farms is a very nice fruit and vegetable market with a great little bistro.  

This is a very pretty wild flower that leaves a very large and delicate seed pod that is almost as pretty as the flower.  

This is a seven antenna Synthesis Telescope. The antennas are all mounted on rail tracks that appear to be straight but are, in fact, curved to match the curvature of the earth's surface.
 

Here one of the adults is leaving the young osprey in the nest.  

This is a massive radio antenna,stretching about a km and a half. There is an osprey nesting platform right in the middle of the antenna. 

Here you can just barely make out the Dominion Radio Observatory at White Lake...just around the corner from Green Lake. Boy, someone really stretched it when naming these lakes! 

Oliver is true desert country...but you can still find some very pretty wild flowers if you stop to look for them. 

We love Hawthorne Mountain Winery. It is on the Green Lake Road on the road between road between Okanagan Falls and Oliver...a windy, narrow road, but really worth the drive. 

On the road to Hawthorne Mountain Winery, we stopped at a pretty little lake called Green Lake. I wonder why it is called Green Lake? 

There were some great cycling trails. This one was along the Okanagan River in Oliver 

We rode our bikes to Silver Sage Winery in Oliver. They produce some wonderful wines, especially dessert wines.
